Broadway’s about to get even queerer this fall, with some very familiar LGBTQ+ faces stepping into major roles across the Theater District. Jake Shears joins The Rocky Horror Show as Frank-N-Furter tomorrow, Bowen Yang takes over as Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh, Mary! on Tuesday, and Raúl Esparza returns to Broadway in the title role of Galileo in November.
As we reach the end of summer, take a look back at an amazing photo feature from Out documenting Jacob Riis Park’s decades-long history as New York’s beloved gay beach. Photographer Chris Berntsen’s images capture the queer community that has gathered there for generations.
