Expect an unforgettable evening from one of the LGBTQ community’s most celebrated singer-songwriters, alongside a legendary family of musicians.

• The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester celebrates its 100th anniversary on Saturday, 9/19, with a one-night-only concert headlined by Pink Talking Fish alongside BERTHA: Grateful Drag, the world’s first all-drag Grateful Dead tribute band. Expect surprise guests, psychedelic jams, and a century’s worth of musical history packed into one unforgettable night honoring one of the New York area’s most legendary concert venues.

• Brooklyn experimental artist L’Rain brings her acclaimed live show to Night Club 101 on Tuesday, 9/29. Fresh off the critical success of I Killed Your Dog, the composer, curator, and Performance Space New York artistic director blends soul, jazz, ambient, and experimental pop into one of New York’s most compelling live performances.

• Sandy Jack’s in Brooklyn is celebrating five years this summer! Go visit this LGBTQ+ owned bar built on connection, coffee, and creative mocktails, not just nightlife. At a time that we’re losing so many queer spaces. It’s important to celebrate the ones that are still here and thriving.

• The New York City AIDS Memorial has unveiled Eternal Flame for Scott Burton, a striking new public art installation honoring the influential sculptor, who died of AIDS-related illness in 1989, by reimagining his final public work for a new generation, now on view in the West Village through spring 2027.

• NYC Pride has awarded $75,000 in grants to 11 local nonprofits through its Pride Gives Back program, helping expand services for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers year-round. This year’s recipients include Drag Artists for Expression NYC, Chosen Family Law Center, I’m From Driftwood, The Generations Project, and Colectivo Intercultural TRANSgrediendo.
