Hello darlings! Spring has finally decided to show up, the city is thawing out, and Lesbian Visibility Week is officially underway. There’s something about this time of year when everyone suddenly remembers they’re hot, social, and maybe a little in love with someone they shouldn’t be. Consider this your gentle nudge to go outside, make eye contact, and get into a little trouble.

Speaking of trouble, Chelsea Handler is back this August with her signature no-filter comedy and we’re giving away tickets. If your idea of a perfect night involves laughing a little too hard at things you probably shouldn’t, you’ll want in on this one.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • FRIGID New York’s Queerly Festival is confirmed for Friday, 6/12 to Friday, 7/3 at Under St Marks Theatre. If you want to see performers before they get polished, branded, or expensive, this is where you go.

  • Gov Ball’s 2026 lineup is out and stacked with queer NYC favorites from Friday, 6/5 through Sunday, 6/7 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, including King Princess, Blood Orange, and Clairo.

  • Lulu Simon is hitting Madison Square Garden on Monday, 7/13, opening for Madison Beer on the final night of The Locket Tour. The New York–based, openly queer artist has been building a cult following with moody, intimate alt-pop that lands especially hard with the sapphic crowd.

LESBIAN VISIBILITY WEEK

Lesbian Visibility Week is coming up! The goal is simple but still necessary: to spotlight, support, and celebrate lesbian and queer women’s voices, culture, and community in a world where they’re often overlooked. We’ve rounded up some standout ways to take part here in New York.

THIS WEEKEND

4/17 - KRISTIN KEY @ GRAMERCY THEATRE

4/18 - TAYLOR MAC @ JOE’S PUB

4/19 - INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF DRAG KINGS @ CUTTING ROOM

4/20 - SHOWTUNE SINGALONG @ SID GOLD’S REQUEST ROOM

LOCALS ONLY

  • Corporate sponsorship for Pride has been steadily declining, after major partners pulled back. If you’re able, this is the year to show up, whether that’s donating directly or joining Pride fundraising events like the Road To Pride Pub Crawls that help keep it all going.

  • If you care about performers, tip them! With less corporate money in the ecosystem, a lot of artists are relying directly on the crowd more than they have in years.
