Hello, Darlings! Spring has arrived, which means we’re all emerging from hibernation and quietly starting to plan our Pride outfits weeks in advance. The layers are coming off, the looks are coming together, and the city is warming up just enough to remind you it’s time to be seen again.

Classical is getting gay. The New York Philharmonic just announced its first-ever Celebrate Pride! concert, pulling in Broadway voices and the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus for a one-night-only lineup that leans fully into queer composers and icons. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
Want to get your dance on? Dreamland is taking over Central Park again on Sunday, June 28, turning SummerStage into a full outdoor Pride fantasy from mid-afternoon into sunset. Headliner Purple Disco Machine is already announced, with more names still to come
Invasion of the Pines (Fire Island) is confirmed for Saturday, July 4. This annual drag pilgrimage and protest returns with full theatrical arrivals, costumes, and thousands lining the harbor to watch. If you’re going, plan logistics early, this is not a casual day trip.

SPOTLIGHT ON OUR FAVORITE QUEER SPACES
So many gay spaces, so little time, but we had to show some love to a few of our favorites that consistently bring it. These are the spots where there’s always something going on, whether it’s a packed dance floor, a drag show that actually delivers, or just the kind of crowd you want to be around. If you don’t know where to go, start here.

If you’ve ever taken the subway, you already know her voice. Bernie Wagenblast has been guiding New Yorkers through delays and late nights for years as the person whose voice you hear making the subway announcements. Bernie recently came out as a trans woman, sharing her story publicly for the first time. It’s a quiet but powerful kind of visibility, the voice you’ve trusted on your commute now attached to a real person living openly and on her own terms.
NYC artist and activist Keith Haring’s work is on display at The Brant Foundation through the end of May. This limited time exhibit is bringing his unmistakable lines and bright, kinetic figures back into focus, reminding the city just how much of his work was rooted here. Equal parts playful and political, the show highlights Haring’s deep ties to queer culture and downtown NYC in the 80s.
