Trans Joy in NYC 🏳️‍⚧️
+ Comedy, concerts, & very gay plans this week 💅🎤
Hello Darlings! NYC is very gay right now - and not quietly! With International Trans Day of Visibility here, the city is fully lit with parties, performances, and moments that actually matter. Protect the Dolls! If you’ve been waiting for a sign to go out, this is it.
Groundbreaking and award-winning comedian Chelsea Handler is coming to The Welmont Theater on Friday, 8/7, and you can enter to win a pair of free tickets! She’s blunt, brilliant, and absolutely not here to behave.*
JUST ANNOUNCED
Bright Light Bright Light, the pop singer behind Club Cumming’s beloved Romy & Michele’s Afternoon Tea Dance, is combining forces with Grag Queen, the Queen of the Universe winner with seriously powerhouse vocals. Together they’ll bring a very glam, very gay night of live pop to LPR on Sunday, 4/12 and you can win tickets!
More International Transgender Day Of Visibility events are dropping daily, so keep checking our listings as we round up everything in one place. Events are planned all weekend long!
Gayme Show! with Matt Rogers is back. The comedian is teaming up with Dave Mizzoni for a night of unhinged competition, camp, and very gay energy. Tickets drop this week for his return just in time for Pride.
Robyn’s Sexistential era is officially here. The new album just dropped, kicking off a full-on cultural moment with fresh press, performances, and that signature emotional chaos she does better than anyone. NYC dates are already on the calendar for fall.
NYC’S LGBTQ COMEDY SCENE
NYC’s gay comedy scene is exactly what you think it is — sharp, chaotic, a little traumatic, and very funny. Being queer in this city will give you material whether you want it or not, and the comics here know how to use it. We’re starting to spotlight our favorites with NYC shows, so tell us… who’s your go-to queer comedian?

NYC just made it official. The city launched its first-ever Mayor’s Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs, creating a centralized hub for queer policy, services, and advocacy. Director Taylor Brown makes history as the first out trans woman to lead a city office.
Prospect Park’s Vale of Cashmere, a historic queer “gathering spot,” is getting a $37.5m renovation right now! The upgrades promise more safety and visibility… but they’re also sparking questions about how queer history survives a glow-up.
